With all the different types and sizes of motorhomes out there how do you know which one is right for your rental? Choosing the right RV Motorhome can be key to the enjoyment of your holiday so we have a few suggestions to help you along the way.
As guideline we always suggested renting a motorhome with the capacity for a least one more person than your party requires – this provides everyone with a little more space inside the vehicle and can help with storage and comfort.
When considering the length of your vehicle don’t be put off by the larger models. Once you are making allowances for driving a long vehicle the actual length whether 25 or 28 feet will not require you to drive much differently. The ‘C Class’ or ‘Cabover’ style vehicles with a bed above the cab are usually built on a van chassis so feel much more like driving a large vehicle or van than a truck or bus. Do be aware, however, that some campsites have limited spaces for vehicles over 30 feet in length.
Think about how you envisage using your vehicle when you are not driving. Is it purely going to be somewhere to sleep and prepare the odd meal, or perhaps you anticipate spending your evenings as a family in the vehicle? This will help to determine whether you are looking for a functional model or something with a few more facilities or perhaps a touch of luxury.
The location you plan to rent your vehicle from will also have a bearing on which vehicle you chose as some vehicles are only available from limited depots – you can check this on our ‘Locations’ page or in each individual vehicle specification.
Above all, if you have any questions about the vehicles we offer or which motorhomes would best suit your holiday plans please do not hesitate to contact one of our experienced team – we will be happy to help you!
